CHALLENGE
The site selected by Genuine Auto Parts required several retaining walls to access and provide the required foot print for their new headquarters office building and adjoining parking deck. The project site was located just a few miles from their existing headquarters on a heavily wooded parcel, but the Atlanta Braves’ new stadium was to be built in close proximity to the existing building. The company chose to relocate their headquarters to avoid not only the future traffic congestion caused by the stadium, but also to be closer to their existing shared services/sorting facility.

SOLUTION
Pinnacle Design/Build designed and constructed three different retaining wall types with differing batters and facing working in conjunction with one another. Combination retaining walls consisting of MSE Segmental Blocks on top of MSE Vegetated Wire Face retaining walls were used for the entrance drives, providing a cost effective, quickly constructed, and aesthetically pleasing solution.
