HOPEDALE RAIL PHASE 2
JEWETT, OHIO

CHALLENGE
Marathon’s Markwest Energy Partners needed to construct a new LNG Gas rail line to support the production and distribution of energy resources in eastern Ohio. The energy producer required an extensive retaining wall to support the construction of a rail line that would provide access to the rail loading facility.

SOLUTION
Pinnacle Design/Build designed and constructed a permanent anchored soldier pile with precast lagging retaining wall to support a 25 foot high MSE Reinforced Earth panel retaining wall to support the earthen fills required to construct the new rail line.

VALUE

Pinnacle Design/Build’s value engineering solution reduced the project cost and construction schedule, and the project was completed in seven weeks.
