THE STATION AT STATE COLLEGE
STATE COLLEGE, PA
CHALLENGE
A collegiate housing developer needed a retaining wall solution to support a new student housing community. The site needed solutions to support an excavation cut along a property boundary and existing utility.
SOLUTION
Pinnacle Design/Build constructed a closely spaced soldier pile retaining wall with reinforced shotcrete lagging to support the excavation cut and existing utility along the property boundary. A segmental block facing was then mechanically attached to the soldier pile’s shotcrete facing to allow the developer to have a consistent look for site retaining walls.
VALUE
The Pinnacle Design/Build solution provided an effective solution to develop the site while also allowing the aesthetic needs of the site to be met.
