CHALLENGE
The University of Virginia needed a new roadway over a stream valley.

SOLUTION
Pinnacle Design/Build constructed two back to back 42 ft tall MSE panel retaining walls to support the elevated roadway.

VALUE
The MSE retaining walls were constructed quickly and at a lower cost than conventional retaining wall options. The vertical retaining walls minimized the roadway’s footprint onto the stream valley.
