CHALLENGE
The owner of this landfill required additional capacity for municipal waste at its existing landfill located in central Pennsylvania.

SOLUTION
A 45 foot vertical expansion of the landfill was achieved by constructing a MSE Berm along the perimeter of the existing landfill.

VALUE
Pinnacle Design/Build constructed the vegetated MSE Berm reinforced with Tensar geogrids. The MSE Berm’s green facing will blend nicely with the surrounding area and provide a “green solution”.
